Doreen Mende, Director of the Research Department at the Dresden State Art Collections and lead investigator of Decolonizing Socialism Entangled Internationalism, organised an exhibition, video installation and two roundtables under the title The Missed Seminar: After Eslanda Robeson that ran in conversation with Steve McQueen’s End Credits at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt Berlin DE 28.10.2022 – 30.12.2022. I was a research collaborator and moderator for the roundtables.

“A partial reading list for a missed seminar on Eslanda Robeson” was first delivered as a talk on a panel “’Unofficial America goes to the conference’: a missed seminar on Eslanda Robeson” at The Whole Life: An Archive Project, Haus der Kulturen der Welt Berlin DE 25.3.2022 and then was revised for publication first in The Missed Seminar exhibition booklet and then in the 2025 book edited by Doreen Mende and myself.
